Kaya's first Volleyball game

Kaya had her first Volleyball game on Thursday at Fultondale. It was humid and raining hard sot the gym was so ughhhhhhh. Anyway, Kaya did great! She was shy at first but once she started warming up, I could see her smiling and she was having a good time. I took pictures, of course, and you can see them on Facebook. They didn't win but she had fun! One of the things she stated she wanted to do was to overcome her shyness. Kaya is really working hard on that. I have seen her not want to do something because she was shy or scared, but do it anyway. And everytime, it was a good experince for her. Everytime she has told me, "It was fun!" I was so proud of her for not only joining the volleyball team but getting out there and playing even though she was scared. Her team will have to work hard to get used to playing with each other. I could definitely see that at the game. But they practice everyday and they will get better. All the girls on the team have been good to her too and Kaya has stated many times how much she likes her team. Maybe she will invite them over soon. But until then, I hope she keeps making friendships that will last in her memories forever!
